Food handlers need to be trained to Foundation Level in food hygiene within 3 months of starting work for the first time. New legislation also recommends staff be trained in food safety management (HACCP).
Food Horizon’s new Food Safety Rules! Training course covers both areas and links the principals of good hygiene practice to the daily management of food safety. This is a practical course and where possible we will use your own kitchen to show food handlers exactly what they need to do. All delegates receive handbooks and certificates.
We also offer Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced food safety and HACCP training courses (Royal Institute of Public Health).

As well as food businesses we work with children and voluntary organizations. As part of this years National Food Safety Week we trained around 1500 children with the help of celebrity chef Tony Tobin and our hero Bacteria Man in the fight against the Evil Pathogens.
